This new optional feature will extend the range of applications where the
3743 battery chargers can operate, enabling it to perform reliably in
demanding environments with high levels of dust, grime and water.
Norwegian power design expert Mascot AS has added an IP67 option to its 3743 high-quality battery charger for Lead-Acid, Li-Ion, LiFePO4 and NiMH batteries.
The IP67 option makes the 3743 fully dustproof and able to withstand water jets and water immersion at depths up to one meter for at least 30 minutes. This makes it excellent for environments where exposure to water and dust pose significant challenges, ensuring rugged reliability in demanding conditions. It is therefore well suited for a range of applications, including nautical use, off-road mobility, machinery, agricultural equipment, industrial systems, remote power solutions and equipment for emergency services.
The chargers use a three-stage charging profile with a microcontroller to maximise battery performance. The 3743 is capable of waking up deeply discharged batteries and initiating soft-start charging with a low current until voltage is normalised.
Custom options are available on request, including connectors, cords, branding, housing or open-frame formats, IP ratings and certificates. The 3743 chargers are fully customisable via Mascot’s Configurable Battery Charger (CBC) toolkit, allowing users to easily set charge parameters such as timers, temperature, current and voltage adjustments via a PC interface. Configuration can also be done in the field.
The 4041’s advanced 3-stage process restores full battery voltage, provides saturation charging to maximize capacity, and automatically stops when the battery is fully charged—ensuring peak performance and extended runtime. A 3-color LED indicator offers intuitive feedback for charging, error, and standby status.
