These ultra-compact, fanless systems are designed for space-constrained and rugged industrial environments, delivering reliable edge intelligence with flexible expansion and versatile I/O. Despite their small size, the ARK-1251 and ARK-1222 offer powerful functionality. Both integrate Advantech’s DeviceOn software and SUSI API, enabling real-time system monitoring, remote diagnostics, and automated recovery. Built-in TPM 2.0 and advanced hardware management features—including multi-level watchdog timers and hardware health monitoring—enhance cybersecurity and system reliability. Housed in a rugged IP4X-rated chassis, these systems support a wide 12 ~ 28 VDC input range and feature a space-saving DIN-rail mountable design, making them ideal for smart automation and smart city edge computing applications. They deliver the intelligence, efficiency, and durability required for industrial edge deployments.
AI-Accelerated Automation System: ARK-1251
The ARK-1251, powered by Intel® Core™ Ultra Processors 125U and 155U, features a hybrid SoC architecture that combines CPU, GPU, and NPU cores. This enables high-performance AI computing with low power consumption. The system supports up to 96GB of DDR5 5600 MHz SODIMM memory and includes multiple M.2 slots for 5G/LTE modules, Wi-Fi, and NVMe SSD storage. Connectivity options include multiple USB ports, 2 x RS-232/422/485, 2 x RS-422/485, 2 x 2.5GbE, and 1 x 1GbE, along with dual display outputs. The ARK-1251 is also the first ARK series to support EdgeBMC, enabling both in-band and out-of-band management through Advantech’s DeviceOn platform. With its compact form factor and advanced capabilities, the ARK-1251 is ideal for a variety of applications, including machine automation, AI-based inspection, collaborative robot (cobot) integration, and real-time quality control in manufacturing environments.
Industrial Intelligent Gateway: ARK-1222
The ARK-1222 is powered by Intel® Atom® x7433RE and Intel® Celeron® N97 quad-core processors and comes pre-installed with 16GB of DDR5 memory, offering reliable computing performance with high energy efficiency. The system provides versatile I/O connectivity, including 2 x 2.5GbE, 4 x RS-232/422/485, multiple USB ports, and dual HDMI display outputs. Expansion options include mPCIe and M.2 slots, accommodating Wi-Fi, 5G, and the EAI-1200 Hailo AI accelerator. Engineered for harsh industrial environments, the ARK-1222 is built for long-term reliability in mission-critical applications. It is ideal for industrial automation, IoT gateway solutions, and edge AI deployments in demanding conditions. It supports smart city applications, such as intelligent traffic control, environmental monitoring, and public safety systems.
