Digital automation solutions provider WEG has agreed a collaborative partnership with condition monitoring expert AZServ. This union establishes AZServ as a WEG Digital Partner and authorised distributor for WEGscan®, WEG’s wireless monitoring system designed to optimise machinery performance and operational reliability. Together, the companies aim to change the way UK industries approach equipment monitoring and maintenance.
This partnership comes at a critical time when industries are increasingly turning to digital technology to drive efficiency and reduce costs. By combining WEG’s innovative technology with AZServ’s deep expertise in condition monitoring, the two companies are well-positioned to deliver transformative results for customers across a range of sectors.
Since its founding in 2009, AZServ has steadily expanded its expertise and team, specialising in services such as vibration analysis, fluid analysis, motion amplification and thermal imaging. The addition of WEGscan to its portfolio underscores AZServ’s commitment to delivering solutions that maximise equipment uptime and efficiency.
WEG’s WEGscan advanced monitoring system leverages sensors and software to provide real-time insights into equipment performance. Optimised for motors and rotating machinery, WEGscan helps identify potential issues early, reducing unplanned downtime and extending equipment life. “One standout example of the partnership’s impact involved the deployment of the WEGscan system in a cement industry raw mill elevator drive,” explained Fernando Velloso, application engineer for digital solutions at WEG. “Just three days after installation, the system detected a critical issue at the non-drive end of the motor, logging a significant increase in vibration levels. Through timely alerts and detailed analysis, AZServ engineers identified and resolved the issue by adjusting lubrication, effectively preventing production downtime and substantial losses.”
