Innovation and sustainability trail finalists revealed

Self-guided tours showcasing the future of engineering at Advanced Engineering

The leading annual manufacturing and engineering exhibition, Advanced Engineering, has announced the companies that have been selected for its innovation and sustainability trail. The chosen exhibitors will be highlighted on the show’s floor plan and showcased to visitors through designated signposts that allow for a self-guided exploration of their innovations throughout the event, which is taking place at the NEC in Birmingham on October 30 and 31, 2024.

The sustainability trail showcases the greenest and most sustainable products and solutions from exhibitors. As governments ramp up their sustainability targets, this trail explores the innovative solutions that are helping companies to meet their net-zero goals.

With over 400 exhibitors participating, this event provides an opportunity for businesses across all industries to highlight their most ground-breaking products and solutions in the innovation trail. Selected exhibitors on the trail will be easily identifiable, denoted by a lightbulb icon at each stand.

The confirmed finalists include Soundcam UK, Innovate UK, Ricardo, 2KM LTD, Nederman – The Clean Air Company, The 3D Measurement Company, MAPAL, PRF Composite Materials, Loson Srl, Polar Technology Group (Lentus Composites/SST Technology), Nanografi, Floreon Technology Ltd, RVMAGNETICS, Airtech Advanced Materials Group, EOS Electro Optical Systems Limited, Q5D and Ecotile Flooring Ltd.

Among the innovations on display will be Soundcam UK’s world’s most sensitive leak and partial discharge detection camera, along with Innovate UK’s electrification technology businesses under the Driving the Electric Revolution initiative.

Elsewhere, Ricardo will unveil its flexible battery module designed for low-volume performance automotive applications, while 2KM LTD is introducing its Paste Pro 3D PU Tooling Printing technology.

Nederman will also feature the Nederman SAVE system for clean air solutions, and The 3D Measurement Company will showcase its SIMSCAN-E wireless handheld scanner and NimbleTrack wireless 3D scanner.

Other notable innovations include MAPAL’s OptiMill®-Alu-Wave and NeoMill®-Alu-Qbig tools, as well as PRF Composite Materials with their RFA570 eXpress cure adhesive film for core bonding applications and Nanografi introducing its Holey Super Graphene, the highest performance version of graphene — plus more.

“The innovation and sustainability trail allows visitors to easily navigate and engage with pioneering technologies that are driving the industry forward,” said Alison Willis, CEO of Easyfairs UK & Global, organiser of Advanced Engineering. “This year, the signposted format enhances accessibility, ensuring attendees can explore innovations that highlight the ongoing commitment to sustainability and efficiency across industries.”
