Omniflex to highlight solutions to reduce CP emissions at ACA Conference
Omniflex will showcase its latest cathodic protection (CP) monitoring and control technologies at the Australasian Corrosion Association’s (ACA) Corrosion & Prevention Conference 2025, taking place from November 9-13 at Marvel Stadium, Melbourne. The company’s CEO, David Celine, will also present ‘ESG in action: Rethinking Cathodic Protection for a More Sustainable Future’ on November 12, highlighting how these technologies help operators reduce emissions and improve ESG reporting.
Visitors can meet the Omniflex team on Stand 39 to see how the company’s newest innovations are helping infrastructure operators reduce their carbon footprint and improve data integrity while strengthening ESG obligations.
The company will also introduce the C4Transformer/Rectifier Remote Monitoring Unit, which supports remote instant-off testing, SCADA or web-based monitoring and automatic alerts on power failure or tampering – providing full oversight of CP assets from any location.
Omniflex will also highlight its Mini-T Transformer/Rectifier, a small-footprint CP power unit for tanks, pipelines and local installations. With options for solar or AC power, remote monitoring and adjustment, and integrated interrupter functionality, it delivers efficient performance in a robust package.
“These solutions allow asset owners to cut energy consumption, reduce field visits and minimise CO₂ emissions, aligning CP system management with evolving environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards,” explained Celine. “By embedding remote monitoring into corrosion control strategies, operators can improve safety, ensure compliance and deliver transparent, traceable reporting under new sustainability frameworks such as Australia’s Sustainability Reporting Standards.”
As part of the conference programme, Celine will present ‘ESG in Action: Rethinking Cathodic Protection for a More Sustainable Future’ at 9:30am on November 12. His session will explore how smart CP technologies enable measurable environmental benefits while supporting long-term asset integrity.
Celine will explain how systems such as switch-mode power supply (SMPS) can help cut energy costs by up to 28 per cent, how distributed design architecture can cut power losses and cabling, and how remote monitoring and control allows proactive maintenance while improving worker safety.
Throughout the event, the Omniflex team will be on hand at Stand 39 to discuss how its new technologies provide better oversight when monitoring corrosion and supporting asset managers to achieve their ESG goals.
