~ Excitation and Engineering Services join Energy Industries Council to share technical insights across global markets ~
Excitation and Engineering Services (EES), a UK-based expert in excitation control and synchronous machine systems, has joined the Energy Industries Council (EIC), the world’s largest energy trade association, as of April 2025. The global membership will help EES expand across all energy sectors by building its presence in key regions, including the Middle East, Far East and Ireland, through EIC’s extensive project data and international network.
The EIC represents over 800 member companies involved in the global energy supply chain. It offers access to market intelligence, project tracking and export support across oil and gas, renewables, nuclear and conventional power. Its regional offices, including hubs in the UAE and Malaysia, give members local insight, established connections and regular networking opportunities through regional and sector-specific events.
EES joins as a global member, gaining access to specialist tools such as AssetMap, the EIC’s live database of worldwide energy assets, and EICDataStream, which tracks new project opportunities. These platforms will enable the engineering firm to monitor developments at energy sites around the world, identify new business opportunities and engage with project stakeholders earlier in the buying cycle.
For EES, this membership will support its work with local agents and clients in overseas markets as it seeks to access digitisation upgrades, system refits and maintenance partnerships. It aligns with the company’s wider ambition to diversify across power sectors and offer ongoing support to critical infrastructure projects.
EES’s involvement is also expected to add value to the wider sector, with plans to contribute technical content to EIC publications and conferences. By sharing its experience and expertise in the design, testing and maintenance of excitation control technology, the firm hopes to support infrastructure resilience, drive collaborative problem-solving and help raise technical standards internationally.
EES is scheduled to appear at a number of key EIC events this year, including Energy Export Conference in Aberdeen, June 2025 and UK & Ireland Regional Showcase in November. These appearances will highlight its capabilities and support plans for a new Scottish office, expanding collaboration with clients such as ESB and SSE.
