Further popular stated benefits of the automated serial diluter UC included reduced training time, especially valuable in high-turnover environments, and that results are more consistent due to standardized dilution and mixing processes. Most notably, every lab interviewed said they would not go back to using traditional glass tube serial dilution techniques. This move from manual to automated serial dilution techniques was not only about comfort — but also about adopting smarter lab operations.
The Inlabtec Serial Diluter replaces traditional serial dilution glass tubes with ultra-light 250 mg plastic bags. This dramatically cuts water and energy consumption as well as cleaning and sterilization effort. It also lowers biohazardous plastic waste when standard disposable lab consumables are used. Running the automated system with 300 bags consumes roughly the same amount of energy as a single dishwasher cycle. Combined with the device’s low cost and the affordability of consumables, the solution is both economically and environmentally sustainable.
