New Academic Excellence Hub at CWIEME Berlin 2025
CWIEME Berlin, the world’s leading exhibition for the coil winding, electric motor, transformer, generator and e-mobility sectors, is introducing the Academic Excellence Hub for its 2025 event. This initiative will connect leading researchers with industry experts, to support talent development and create new opportunities for innovation within the sector.
A dedicated exhibition area will be available for universities and research centres at the event at Messe Berlin from June 3 to 5. Additionally, invited academics and researchers will have the opportunity to present across the CWIEME stages.
CWIEME Berlin is a global hub for experts from the electrical engineering and manufacturing sectors, making it the ideal platform for this initiative. With a strong international presence, the event provides unmatched opportunities for networking and partnerships.
With the Future Engineers programme making a return, CWIEME Berlin now has multiple opportunities for universities and research centres to get involved. The 2025 exhibition will allow them to showcase impactful research, develop valuable partnerships and create career pathways for students and staff.
For industry professionals, the Academic Excellence Hub offers early access to cutting-edge innovations from top research institutions. It is also an opportunity to support the development of the sector at grassroots level by engaging with the next generation of engineers and offering internships to promising talent.
“Innovation is at the core of this industry and we want to set the stage to showcase that.” explains Chris Lee, portfolio director for CWIEME events. “The Academic Excellence Hub will provide a space where fresh ideas can receive industry feedback. It will play a key role in driving progress within the industry by helping promising research translate into real-world applications.”
Several respected universities have already confirmed their participation, including the University of Bristol, Zagreb University of Applied Sciences and Lodz University of Technology. Lee comments that, “their involvement shows the importance of programmes like these as a bridge between academic research and industrial applications.”
By launching this initiative, CWIEME Berlin is reinforcing its commitment to fostering meaningful collaboration between academia and industry. The Academic Excellence Hub will ensure that the sector continues to innovate while offering deeper insights into emerging trends and technological advancements.
